61 — Team USA Olympic hero Jack Hughes has scored 428 points in 429 career games — but the New Jersey Devils have been left wanting more. Due to injuries, Hughes has only averaged 61 games per season. The one year he stayed healthy, 2022-23, he scored 99 points in 78 games and led the Devils to his only playoff appearance in his seven seasons (he was injured when New Jersey reached the postseason in 2024-25).

Sabrina Ionescu had scored just nine points amid a season-long shooting slump before catching fire to lead the Liberty to an OT victory. 13 — Adam Fox suffered multiple knee injuries during the 2023-24 season which led to his reputation taking a hit. The New York Rangers alternate captain was left off Team USA’s 2026 Olympic team. Despite this, the NHL Network took notice of his still-elite advanced metrics and ranked him #13 on its list of the 2026-27 Top 20 Defensemen.
