30+ million Americans are expected to play fantasy football this year — most of whom will be drafting between now and the September 9 season-opening Super Bowl rematch between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.
In New York, there is a flood of preseason enthusiasm for Big Blue and Gang Green despite the fact that both teams have combined to win only 15 games across the last two seasons.
Let’s test that enthusiasm by imagining that your league gives you exclusive rights to all New York Giants and New York Jets, in exchange for not being able to draft anyone else.

After being the subject of trade rumors for two years, Hall enters the season buoyed by the 3-year, $43.5m contract he signed this offseason. Meanwhile, Skattebo cemented his growing celebrity by making publicized appearances at Fanatics Fest, New York Knicks playoff games, and a WWE event.
WR Malik Nabers (Yahoo WR #11)
WR Garrett Wilson (Yahoo WR #18)
Nabers is coming off a torn ACL and meniscus, while Wilson missed most of last season due to a less serious knee injury of his own. When healthy, both players are the unquestioned go-to offensive weapons of their respective teams.
TE Isaiah Likely (Yahoo TE Rank #13)
Long-term, I’m more excited about Gang Green’s duo of Mason Taylor and Kenyon Sadiq. But due to the uncertainty of how the touches will be split up, Likely, who followed John Harbaugh from Baltimore, is a safer selection.
W/R/T AD Mitchell (Yahoo W/R/T Rank #126)
There’s a long list of former Jets who have had legendary offseasons prior to flaming out in the regular season. We’re betting on Mitchell being the exception to that rule due to his chemistry with QB Geno Smith.
DEF New York Giants (Yahoo DEF Rank #19)
Big Blue and Gang Green were in the bottom 25% in both points and yards allowed during the 2025 season. We expect major improvement from both squads, but select the Giants because they have the potential for more splash plays from Brian Burns, Abdul Carter, Tremaine Edmunds, Arvell Reese, and Kayvon Thibodeaux.
