65 — When Landry Shamet plays, the New York Knicks win 65% of the time (30-16), as opposed to winning 60% of the time (18-12) when he is out with injury. The versatile Shamet has missed the Knicks’ last three games — losses to Charlotte, OKC, and Houston.

38 — The New York Liberty will tip off the 2026 WNBA season in 38 days on May 8 when they host the Connecticut Sun. Due to the drawn-out collective bargaining process, the league will condense its entire offseason — expansion draft (April 3), free agency (April 9 – April 18), WNBA draft (April 13) — before training camp opens on April 19.

27 — The New Jersey Devils enter the final week of the NHL season ranked 27th overall in goals scored with 205 despite having Jesper Bratt, Dougie Hamilton, Nico Hischier, Jack Hughes, Luke Hughes, and Timo Meier in their lineup.

14 — As of today, the Brooklyn Nets have a 14% chance to secure the top pick in the NBA Draft (June 24-25), and a 52.1% chance to secure a Top 4 pick.

10 — Giancarlo Stanton has 10 hits in the New York Yankees opening week — with exactly 2 hits in each of his team’s first 5 games. The 36-year-old DH finished the month of March batting .500 with a 1.250 OPS. While it is unlikely to happen, it would be fun to see what he can do over a full, healthy season.

9 — The New York Jets have 9 draft picks in the upcoming NFL Draft (April 23-25) including four of the first 44 picks. Here’s when they will select — #2, #16, #33, #44, #103, #140, #179, #228, and #242.

8 — The New York Rangers have played 8 rookies during the 2025-26 season — Jaroslav Chemlar (21 games), Drew Fortescue (3 games), Dylan Garand (2 games), Noah Laba (67 games), Scott Morrow (29 games), Brennan Othmann (17 games prior to being traded at deadline), Matthew Robertson (65 games), Adam Sykora (4 games).

7 — The New York Giants have 7 draft picks in the upcoming NFL Draft (April 23-25) highlighted by the fifth pick in the draft. Here’s when they will select — #5, #37, #105, #145, #186, #192, and #193.

2 — Jordan Peele couldn’t have scripted a more nightmarish start for Bo Bichette as the New York Mets prized free agent finished March with just 2 hits in 21 at bats. Luckily, 97% of the season remains.

1 — Matthew Schaefer needs just 1 goal in the New York Islanders final six games to tie Hall of Famer Brian Leetch at 23 goals — the All-Time Rookie record for NHL defensemen. Leetch was a 20-year-old in 1988-89 when he finished with 23 goals and 71 points. Schaefer, only 18, has 22 goals and 57 points.
