Saquon Barkley is an easy guy to root for. He has all-world talent but is humble and always willing to share the credit and take the blame. He was told to shop around in free agency by the New York Giants brass, which he did, and he found a great situation in Philadelphia. I believe the Giants’ fans in attendance yesterday at MetLife felt it was their responsibility to express their displeasure by showering him with boos. I also believe that deep down they respected the way Barkley responded by gaining 187 all-purpose yards in his Eagles 28-3 win. I’m also willing to predict that those same fans will cheer him again down the road when he is placed in the Giants Ring of Honor.
