Another split last week and we’re now 4-5 on Jets games, 6-3 on Giants games for a cumulative record of 10-8 on the moneyline.

New York Giants (2-7) vs Carolina Panthers (2-7)
Sunday 9:30a NFL Network
There are 9 teams in the NFL with only two wins through 9 weeks, and two of them will square off on Sunday morning in Munich, Germany. Carolina has decided to stick with former 1st overall pick Bryce Young at QB after he managed a come from behind 23-22 win over New Orleans last week. Young was playing in place of the injured vet Andy Dalton who is healthy again. The Panthers decision is more about determining Young’s future than any hope of turning the season around.

The same can be said for Daniel Jones. If he struggles against the leagues worst statistical defense, he could be replaced after next week’s bye in the Giants 11/24 home game against Tampa Bay. The Panthers rank dead last in total yards against, yards against per game, total points against and points against per game. With their key weapons healthy again (Malik Nabers, Tyrone Tracey Jr., Devin Singletary) we expect Jones to fight to live another day, and for the Giants to break their 4-game losing streak.

New York Jets (3-6) at Arizona Cardinals (5-4)
Sunday 4:25p CBS
Kyler Murray burst onto the scene as the NFL’s 1st overall selection in 2019. By the end of 2021, he had two Pro Bowls and a playoff appearance under his belt. Since then, he’s been an enigma who has battled injuries, questions about his commitment, trade rumors and consecutive 4-win seasons for the Cardinals. Suddenly, after winning three straight and 4 out of 5, things are looking up for both the QB and his team. Murray is showing flashes of his previous self aided by three young playmakers in TE Trey McBride (24), WR Michael Wilson (24) and rookie standout Marvin Harrison, Jr. (22). Murray will present a dual-threat challenge to the Jets defense. He has 350 yards on the ground this year on only 43 carries (8.1 average).

Meanwhile, the Jets hope their second half “explosion” against Houston last week sets their offense up to go on a roll. Aaron Rodgers was moving a little better last week thanks to the Cayenne Pepper and water he consumed leading up to the game, but more importantly Davante Adams and Garrett Wilson gave us a glimpse of what the future may hold. Adams sealed the game with his first TD catch as a member of the Jets and Wilson scored twice including his OBJ styled play-of-the-week. Rodgers has been saying this offense can put up 30 per game, and we think he’s going to need it to hold off the Cards.
Mac’s Pick – Jets 31 Cardinals 23
