Is it just me, but when I look at the Jets needs, WR doesn’t rise to the top. If the Jets are going to use assets to fortify this team, they need to bring in defensive line help. Will McDonald has offset the loss of Bryce Huff, but losing Jermaine Johnson and John Franklin-Myers is putting a lot of pressure on the Jets impressive crop of undrafted rookie free agents.
Is it just me, but when I look at the Jets skill position players on offense, I believe that getting Garrett Wilson playing with his typical swag is the most important thing. He’s currently struggling to get on the same page with Aaron Rodgers while seeing some of his targets going to Rodgers’ former Packer teammate Allen Lazard.
Is it just me, or would acquiring Davante Adams, for assets that could be otherwise used to provide help to the DL and reduce Wilson’s role. Rodgers chemistry with Adams is legendary so he would be sure to garner a significant number of targets.
All deals are not created equal. If the Jets can steal Adams in exchange for Lazard and a 5th, then that makes sense. More likely, they will have to give up a premium draft choice and if that’s the case, I would pass.
